Picture It!

We are doing a cooperative art project called "Picture It!" with other classes from other schools. A picture is divided into squares. Each classroom is assigned a square to color. The classrooms send the pictures to the other classrooms. You could either color it with crayons or you could draw it for yourself and color it. There are twenty-four squares to the picture. One school has classrooms doing the squares 20-24. We are doing square 17. It isn't easy to draw our square. We have discussed how we should color it. It may look funny when we get the squares if we don't match colors.

We are also sending a paper to them that tells about our class and school. It will be interesting to see how the finished picture looks with all of the colored pieces included. Right now it is on our board in black and white.

Perfect Attendance

The kids in the elementary school, who got perfect attendance from the first semester, got to have sundaes at McDonald’s Restaurant. There were 103 kids that had perfect attendance!  Since there were so many children we split in two different groups. The first group was kindergarten through second.  Then it was our turn, the third through fifth graders.
There were four different flavors of sundaes to choose from. They were: plain, chocolate, strawberry, and caramel.  I had caramel. It was delicious! It was fun. We could sit with anyone we wanted to sit with.  Our bus there and back was crowded, but I didn’t mind.
